Gillian Clean Sweeps Bundaberg Shoot

Gillian missed just three bulls in the 70-shot match, posting a grand aggregate score of 347 with 41 centres.

Her husband Darren Enslin shot strongly to place second in the 4 range aggregate on Saturday with both dropping just two shots, but Gillian prevailing on centres, 24 to 17.

 

 The couple from Appletree Creek, near Childers, have just returned from competing in the West Indies Championships in Barbados. They also shot in the Australia Cup team which went down to Great Britain.

They are members of the Pacific Rifle Club in Brisbane and will be back on the Belmont range for the Australian Queens Prize later this month.

Goondiwindi shooter Russell Saxby shot strongly in Bundaberg. He missed just one bull in placing second on Sunday with 149.13, and finished second in the Grand Aggregate.

Jandowae Rifle Club member Brett Harling dominated the B Grade competition and Bundaberg local Luke Harding won C Grade.

Monto shooters Bevan Goschnick and Joe Koch won the F Standard scope class A and B grade respectively.

Gympie-Kilkivan Rifle Club member Dave Hatherell won the F Open scope class on Sunday and the Grand Aggregate with Wallumbilla’s Phil Dewhurst taking out the class on Saturday.
