Brisbane shooter Mijo Brdjanovic showed his liking for the challenging rifle range at Ripley with an emphatic win in the Ipswich Rifle Club’s annual prize shoot on Sunday.

Mijo took his second title in two years with a possible three range aggregate score of 150 with 16 centre bulls. His effort included a splendid second range score of 9 out of 10 centre bulls.

The event was shot at 600 metres twice and 800 metres as the day alternated between rain clouds and sunshine with tricky winds thrown in.

Colin Cole from North Arm, who won this event last year, dropped two shots at the last range but held onto second placing with 148.16 from another Brisbane shooter Mirko Teglasi on 148.11.

Gary Henderson from Pacific Rifle Club took B Grade and Nev Bidgood from Crows Nest-Goombungee won all three ranges in C Grade.
Jenni Hausler won the F Standard scope class from Goondiwindi’s Lowell Tillack while Julie McEwan from Dalby-Tara took out the strong F Open scope event.
