All the hard work of organising and promoting the QRA Open Day at Belmont on Sunday, May 25 paid off.

A big crowd of all ages mustered early, keen to take a look at the range and facilities and test out their aim at the 300 yard range before enjoying a free sausage sizzle and entertainment.

A good number of club volunteers were on hand to show the visitors around and provide with a selection of open sight and scope rifles using both electronic and traditional targets.

Local Member of Parliament Steve Davies was given a guided tour by new Executive Officer Michael Denton and also got a couple of shots on target.

The steady flow of visitors continued throughout the day with more than 200 people registering their attendance.

Judging by the level of enthusiasm and some of the scores Belmont clubs can look forward to signing up some new members.
