QRA COUNCIL ELECTIONS

As required by the QRA Rules nominations are hereby called for the position of QRA Councillor as a number of Council members be due for re-election this year.

The following positions are open for nominations:

                         Zone 1       Michael Samuels (replacement for Andrew Mayfield)
                         Zone 2       Bret Harling
                         Zone 3       Colin Cole
                         Zone 3       David Hatherell (replacement for Rod Prayle)
                         Zone 4       Ray Truelson 

Please Note:

- Those elected to the positions will fill the positions until 2016 (3 years).
- Nominations must be made on the relevant form, copy of which is attached.
- As indicated on the form, new nominees are required to submit a CV with their nomination.

Please also note that nominations must be received the QRA Executive Officer no later than close of business (4.30pm) on FRIDAY 31 MAY 2013.

OFFICIAL TEAM TRIAL AT COUNTRY vs CITY MATCH 13 -14 April 2013

All members who have nominated, or intend to nominate, as a shooter or coach for any official Queensland Team this year need to be aware that the 
Country vs City Teams Match is considered to be a team trial.

Be sure to get your nomination in to the QRA office. Closing date for nominations for the Country vs City Match is Friday 29 March 2013. 
Nominations must be in writing and emailed to qra@qldrifle.com or mailed to P O Box 38, Carina, Qld, 4152.
Please advise name, club, team nominating for and contact information.

 QRA Update 25.7.12 - QUEENSLAND SHOOTING ASSOCIATION RAISES IMPORTANT ISSUES WITH MINISTER FOR POLICE.

As a result of a recent meeting with the Minister for Police he requested that the Association submit ten of the most important issues with him to address in regard to the Weapons Licensing Branch procedures and other issues of importance to the rifle shooting movement.

The attached document sets out the issues raised by members of the Association for consideration by the Minister.

The QRA supports these issues and will monitor the response from the Minister in due course. View the QSA Action Points for Minister of Police doument here (pdf).
