Membership of an affiliated club provides members with benefits such as:

A genuine reason to possess and use Category A & B firearms in accordance with the licencing requirements in the state of Queensland.
Access to ranges Australia wide.
Coaching and simulation training from nationally accredited Coaches.
Insurance for participation in Club approved activities.
Affiliation with the National Rifle Association of Australia (NRAA):
- Bi monthly issues of the national Australian Target Rifle magazine (optional)
- Eligibility to participate in Club, State, National and International teams and competitions such as:
  - Commonwealth Games, Palma Match, Oceania Championships, Queens and Open Prize Meetings
  - Open, Under 25, Ladies and Veterans Teams
  - 300 Metre, Fullbore Rifle, Field Rifle, Match Rifle events

Membership fees for the QRA are paid annually through affiliated clubs.
