2010 QRA Junior Development Camp

5-7 March 2010 at Belmont Range

26 junior shooters from The Armidale School, New England Girls School and Queensland Rifle Association Clubs came together for a training weekend at Belmont and braved the inclement weather to refine their techniques, taking advantage of simulation, electronic targets and long range practice.  

The Junior Development Training weekend brought together young shooters from Clermont, Toowoomba, Ipswich and Armidale under the QRA State Coach Meredith Nestor.   The shooters were assisted by Rex Wigney, Rob Bondfield, Richard Kenny, Andrew Mayfield, Shane Osborne, Erica Young and staff Trevor Thatcher, David Rose and Max Tavener.  More photos on the QRA Facebook page

2009 QRA Junior Development Camp

QRA members Rob Bondfield, Southern Downs RC, Andrew Mayfield, Ipswich RC, and Jim Vasey, Gold Coast City RC assisted State Coach Meredith Nestor and Executive Officer Rex Wigney to conduct a Coaching and Simulation training camp for The Armidale School Rifle Team at Belmont 31 Jan/1 Feb 2009 organised by the Shooting Master, Trevor Thatcher.  The TAS boys are looking forward to the Goondiwindi and Warwick Prize Meetings

2006 NRAA Junior Development Camp

9-17 December 2006 at Belmont Range

Commonwealth Games Fullbore Gold Medallist Brigadier Bruce Scott, Smallbore World Champion Don Brook and Qld State Coaching Director Meredith Nestor conducted an intensive 9 day Junior Development Course on behalf of the NRAA at Belmont Range attended by representatives from QRA, NQRA,  NSWRA and ACTFTR.
